How Carlos Met Karlia
This was a roleplay to bring them together. ;w;
Karia straightened the back over her back with a hand and moved her other hand to her hair, pushing the braid back from behind her ears andsmiled at herself, her fingers brushing over her ears and then moved into the building in front of her. It was unlike her to stay over night but she had no desire to move this late in the afternoon. She moved through the entrance to the counter, waiting for someone to assist her.
Carlos was glancing and rushing around the hotel, fixing things around the area before anymore guests arrived. It was becoming dusk, meaning travelers would be stopping to stay the night. Carlos was ready to stop for the night, but he would be there until at least nine at night helping around and fixing the pool problem. The chlorine had stopped filtering, meaning he had to try and fix it himself before calling someone to help. Less money, hopefully. He was now sorting behind the main desk, checking people in.He raised his head, ears moving in an upward direction as someone approached. Carlos felt the drool as he gazed at the female in front of her. "U-uh, hello. Ready to check in?" He smirked coolly. Hopefully he would get somewhere with her before the end of her stay.
Karia looked around the hotel, amused by the visual affect of the whole place, it was fairly beautiful inside and clearly well kept. Not crowded with items but enough for her to grin at the idea to steal any of these things. She smiled as she turned her eyes between each shiny item before jumping slightly at the voice, despite standing ready to be tended to, "Oh uhh.. Yes please." She looked him over and noticed the smirk and tired to hide the roll of her eyes and just smiled, "Just a single room for the night. Please."
He chuckled lowly at her jump and many pleases. "Mkayyyy." He drew out the world as he clicked on a few things on the computer. "Name and registration?" He asked, his eyes tinting mischievously as he moved his gaze back to her. She was quite a pretty thing, looking around his age. He kept his posture, bringing his sunglasses on to his head, laying on top of his hair.
Karia looked at him as he did as he needed to and smiled a little, He defiantly seemed to enjoy his job, it was wonderful to see, made her feel slightly guilty that she will steal from him later. Oh well. "Uhh. Karia and I don't know." She looked at him slightly as he pulled his glasses to his head and held back a laugh at his cool attitude, Wondering if he really was cool or just showing off for a pretty girl.
He typed in her name, before looking at her and raising an eyebrow at her. "You don't have anything to show your you? Drivers license? Something?" He chuckled lowly again, leaning on his hands as he looked at her with a smooth smile. She was cool. Too bad she was staying for one night. Carlos started to wonder how long she would stay before she left tomorrow. Hopefully not before he arrived.
Karia looked at him and then took the bag from her shoulder and pulled out a small card and showed him it, "Sorry I didn't understand you." She passed him the drivers license and smiled again as she put her bag back onto her back and waited quietly for the rest of the information he may of needed.
"Sorry, didn't know I was speaking French." He teased, winking playfully, before glancing at the card. "Nice name, by the way. Very exotic. Carlos isn't that exotic, may want to change my name." He laughed, finishing the transaction. "I'll escort you to your room, A4." He smiled, grabbing a key and coming up from behind the counter. Carlos was slightly taller than her, but just enough for that perfect towering-over.
Karia blushed and grumbled roughly, "I don't get asked any of this in a normal hotel," She huffed as she put her hand out for her license back. "Carlos isn't horrible. Makes you seem a little more Mexican than Hipster. A Mexican hipster maybe?" She smirked at him stepping away slightly as she nodded, "Directions would be fine but If your offering I can hardly say no."
Carlos winked, "This ain't no normal hotel. This is Carlos' hotel." He chuckled, handing her the license. "And thanks, but i'm not even Mexican. I'll take the hipster part, though, thank you very much." He smiled, starting to walk. "No directions, personal escort." He swung the keys around on his pointer finger. "Let's go!"
Karia laughed slightly, trying to hold it back, huffing as she let it out, "Carlos hotel. You own it?" She questioned a little, "Your a non Mexican Mexican hipster?" She sniffled back her laughter as she walked with him, watching his hand as he spun the keys around his finger, staring intently at the movements.
"Yes. I own the hotel and the resort beside it." He looked back at her with a small smile, before turning and walking backwards. "I guess, if that's what it adds up to." Carlos laughed, running his fingers through his hair. Why did her room have to be so close, yet so far? Great job, Carl.
Karia looked at him again, moving with him still, "Ahh I see. I'll have to check out the resort another stay." She paused for a moment as he moved backwards before moving forward again and nodding, "Yes. The non Mexican Mexican hipster. enjoy that title." SHe smirked and looked at all the door. It was big and beautiful. absolutely stunning honestly.
"I'll enjoy it, since you gave it to me." He winked, turning around and putting the key in the lock. "Here is your room." He turned the key, opening the door. "Welcome to the best place you'll ever stay!" He grinned, turning on a light as he opened the door. He loved doing this, even if he didn't give escorts to everyone.
Karia blushed again and looked away from him, "Stop being silly." She grumbled a little, unable to really be angry, She peeked past him and into the room and gasped slightly, "its beautiful. I don't even think you're being a show off by saying that. It really is the nicest place I've stayed." She looked in and moved into the room a little.
"Silly is my middle name, love." He chuckled, before watching her walk it. "I never show off. Well, that's a lie. But when it comes to my resort and hotel, I never show off. They're probably the prettiest and coolest thing on this continent. I could show you around the resort if you don't want to sleep yet? And after you unpack, of course." Carlos offered, smiling.
Karia looked around the room a little.more and kept the back on her back as she turned back to him, "You see like a show off. Sorry about just assuming you are a show off." She moved back a little more and looked at him, "I have nothing to unpack. If you're offering, I'd love to have a look around."
Carlos smiled, "No problem, love. I seem like the type." He then listened to her accept the offer, causing him to rub his hands together, before running one through his hair. "Well, let's get going then. Here's your key." He tossed it towards her, hoping she would catch it and it would not end up in both of them scrambling for it.
Karia grabbed the key as he threw it and quickly tossed it into her pocket and walked out, ensuring the door was looked behind her. This was the best time to learn about the place, find some stuff that's worth value. He'd never suspect her if she was with him the whole time. She smiled at her scheme and nodded, "Alright! Let's go!"
"Lovin' your excitement." He chuckled, walking out of the building swiftly and taking a nice, deep breath of the Californian air. "Man, I love this place." Carlos said, talking about California. "I've lived here most of my life, moved here when my parents divorced with my mother. Since then, never left. Except once." He chuckled, his hands slipping into his pockets.
Karia watched him and smiled brightly at Carlos, "Oh yeah. I love exploring all the new places I visit." She watched him and smiled still, "Oh sounds lovely. Minus the parent think but it happens. Mine did as well. Cept I couldn't leave with either so my own adventure began." Her hands slipped into her own pockets and walked.
"Mm." He nodded, starting the walk towards his resort, which was only a little bit away. "So, you're a traveler? Where have you been?" Carlos asked, quite curious about where she had been. He had not had many places to travel, just California, Texas and Ohio. Ohio was for a family reunion, which he didn't even go to.
"Lots of everywhere. First time here. Moved from Egypt recently after exploring all around. Loved it there," She smiled still as they walked through, glancing over all the items, grabbing a small shiny object off the table and throwing it in her pocket as they kept walking.
"Egypt? Oh my gosh." He was obviously surprised. His eyes flickered to where she stole the shiny object, but acted like he didn't see it. It was from a customer anyways, it would have been put somewhere until someone came to claim it. He shrugged it off mentally.
Karia shuffled it into her pocket more and smiled still as she walked, behind him, "oh yeah. My next stop is to go back to Europe. Was there when I was a teenager but parents forced the trip back early." She said softly.
Carlos' eyes went back up to her face, grabbing her gaze with his own. "Europe sounds amazing. If I didn't have the resort, I would be traveling myself." He then looked up. "Talking about my resort, welcome to my resort's waterpark." He grinned, hand reaching out for a dramatic entrance.
Karia looked at him and smiled, "Travelling is wonderful. I love traveling." She grinned a little more and looked around, "Wow it's beautiful. Shame I hate water." She confessed as she moved against him a little, flinching and stepping away as she kept her hands in her pocket.
"You hate it or just can't swim?" He chuckled, before shutting his mouth as she moved against him. A sheepish smile replaced his features, along with a small blush that tainted his cheeks. Looking at his feet, he cleared his throat. "Let's get going to the Shoppe. I won't let you in, since you steal, but we can look on the outside." Carlos sneakily added in that she stole, hoping she would catch on.
"Both actually. My cat like appearance made kids make fun of me and once I was pushed in and they kept holding me under the water," She grumbled slightly, thinking about her childhood. She flinched at his comment and looked at him, "I don't steal." She huffed.
"Oh. Well, if I ever try to convince you to go swimming again, I promise I won't try to drown you." He chuckled, before sassily crossing his arms and jutting out his hip. "I'm not stupid, love. But I won't call the cops, just keep it on things that visitors left." He chuckled, standing straight again.
Karia blushed a little but grumbled a little, "I'll steal what I please. You'll never actually connect me to anything." She huffed and walked still, "And swimming isn't my thing. But you can try."
Carlos reached forward, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back to him. "Oh no you don't, you little troublemaker." He chuckled, using both of his hands to grab both of her wrists."If you keep stealing things, i'll have to apply consequences, and I really hate applying consequences." He smirked.
Karia growled at him as he touched her, "Im no troublemaker. I make a living. How much do you earn here. Surely you won't miss a few things. To someone who owns nothing. You people are just selfish." She tried to pull her wrists from him and grumbled a lot louder.
Carlos' eyes searched her face, before he pulled her closer. "Listen, Karia. If you ever need help, you could always ask. I surely have enough to spare, okay? Just ask for help." He took a breath, letting go of her wrists and moving away, away from her. His fingers went through his hair. "Listen, I don't care if I just met you. I'll help anyone who asks for it. So just ask. I'll give you a few hundred dollars to get you going tomorrow." He sighed, not looking at her. He was honestly freaking out.
Karia yelled at his remark, "I don't need help. Let me do my own things. You just won't miss one item. If you want to help, stop accusing people of stealing. Defiantly one way of getting attention towards yourself." She pulled her wrists bsck to herself and gave him a glare, taking his step back, moving her hands into her pockets and grabbing the small shiny item and tossed it at him, "Ill just keep moving. Thanks for the tour." She turned and moved away, tears swelling in her eyes, her life had revolved around her stealing. She never had help, she quickened her pace but instantly regretting her decision as her feet slipped, she hit the wet ground hard and pressed her eyes closed hard.
Carlos just watched as she yelled at him. He let the shiny thing hit the ground with a loud cling, echoing throughout the water park. "Karia, wait, don't-" His eyes then widened as she slipped. He couldn't help but raise his voice as she slammed against the ground. "Karia!" He screamed as he leaped forward, trying to grab her before she was swept into the lazy river.
Karia could hear his voice but the fear had swallowed her own voice and she couldn't make a sound as she swung her arms around a lot and looked at him. The river was moving rather slowly but still enough for her to freak, simply being a fear. She managed to escape a loud yell, "Carlos!"
Carlos wrapped his arm around her waist, bringing her close to him and hugging her close. "Don't worry. I got you." He murmured, stepping back and turning around, bringing her away from the water. "I'm not letting you go into the water, Karia. I promise. Not until you want to." He sighed.
Karia managed the strength to open her eyes her eyes and looked at him, her body forced to press against him and she them closed her eyes once again and pressed into him, head to his neck as she quietly spoke, "can you please just get me out?" She whined softly.
"Y-yeah." He sighed, holding her close as he guided her out of the waterpark. He moved her to the hotel, opening the door to it and pulling a spare key out of his back pocket. He slowly guided her into her room. "Your far from the water now, love. Don't worry." He murmured, holding her at the entrance.
Karia kept her eyes closed, moving as she felt she had to, her mind racing, images of her childhood flashed her brain and with each moment she'd whine out a little. She felt the smallest comfort in the other Kalon but at the same time, he cause this. "I didn't mean to call you selfish," She said softly as she finally got the strength to open her eyes again and moved away from him a little, "thank you for your help."
He let out a shaky breath, his fingers moving through his hair again. "It's fine, I can be selfish sometimes." Carlos smiled softly, eyes slightly watering. He was scared. Scared that she would be swept away. He knew what bad memories were about, and he hated them. "Sorry I accused you so straight up about stealing. I-I didn't mean to overwork you and I'm s-so sorry and.." He trailed off, stopping himself before he ranted.
Karia huffed a little and looked at him, "You seem like you would be selfish but its not something to say." She said simply and moved to sit on the bed, watching him, "Ive never been caught stealing... Not since I was a child and life went bad from there so I guess it hit me hard that I was caught again. Don't be sorry." She smiled softly, her body shaking as she realised she was making the bed all wet.
Carlos let out a shuddering breath, grinning. "Do you need a towel? I could go get one from the indoor pool." He asked, still a bit shaken up. He ran his fingers through his hair, for about the fourth time since she fell. His heart was racing, but he didn't care. It was worth it. She was safe, and that's all he cared about.
Karia looked at him and smiled again, seemingly fake, "No No. im all good. don't need to bother yourself any more." She looked at her feet then back at him, "Hey. Let me get dress. Then... How about we go out for dinner?" She said outright. She had this urge to try and talk him out of handing her into the police but also this gut feeling that she wanted to be near him. strange.
Carlos nodded. "O-okay." He then listened to her next statement, his heart soaring. Inside his head, he was freaking out. "Karlia.. are you asking me out?" He asked, more of a real question. "I-I mean, cause I totally am fine with not, I was just wondering pfttt.." He said, trying to lean on the wall, but instead tripping. Great job, Carlos.
Karia huffed out a laughter and stood up and moved towards him and looked up at him, "Real cool non Mexican Mexican Hipster." She then stepped back, laughing more, though her face insanely flushed, "And I am asking you out. Playing my 'get outta jail free' card. Suck up to the one that knows about my stealing habit. I know how to play, Player." She mocked slightly.
Carlos raised an eyebrow, smirking. It was quite amusing how she had to look up at him. "I'm extremely cool, no idea what you're talking about." He chuckled, before smiling at her next comment. "Oh, really?" He smirked, grabbing her chin gently. He moved his face closer, "Your on, player." He chuckled, turning and opening the door. "I'll be back!" He announced, walking out of the door and shutting it.
Karia's face burnt as he held her chin and grumbled, stepping backwards and pushed her hand slightly, "Alrighty Mr Cool." Karia moved towards the door and leaned back against it and huffed slightly, "God damn it. Why do I do this to myself. More importantly. Why is he doing this to me?" She questioned herself before sighing and moving towards the little bathroom with her back, realising all her cloths were wet, "Dang it. Not my day."
Carlos was still smiling as he made his way into the lobby. He went into the room, telling a fellow Kalon to run the front desk while he went to do something. He went into the bathroom, starting to fix his hair. Where to go... He then shook his head. What was she doing to him...
Karia hung her bagged cloths over the bathroom door and grabbed a towel and moved it around her, trying to dry her current cloths a little, Shivering roughly, "its so cold." She said softly and moved to her back and looked through all her stuff, sighing softly as she recalled every items stolen locations.
Carlos ran his fingers through his hair again. Too bad he'd have to wear his hotel outfit to his.. could he call it a date? It was just a get out of jail free card, as she had said. He felt his heart throb at the thought. Wait, what? No, he can't be crushing on her. She's a traveler, she would just leave. He turned, walking down the hall and knocking on her door.
Karia stared from her window and sighed softly as was stared. Her brain was going crazy with thoughts as she decided that she didn't really need this outing, he wouldn't of called the police, she could see that, maybe it was simply an excuse. "I cannot like anyone. Loner like I promised myself," She spoke outloud, flinching as she heard the knock on the door and moved over, opening it, "Oh if it isn't Mr Cool."
"If it isn't it Ms. Player." Carlos smirked, leaning against the door frame with a sassy posture. He had messed up his hair after fixing it, but it was the nice mess up. He was a hot mess, for sure. His gaze slowly trailed over her outfit, before right towards her eyes again. "You ready?"
Karia looked at him and pushed her hips out into a posy stance, "Wanna keep looking me over?" She laughed softly and moved her hands to her pocket, "I am. Sadly same wet outfit cause I my other outfit got wet in my bag. But that's all good." She smiled softly.
"Would if I could, but afraid you'll punch me." Carlos winked, running his fingers through his hair slowly. "Anyways, I have to wear my uniform to our date, so I think you look better than I do." He chuckled, stepping back. "Ready to go?" He asked, a small smile still floating on his face.
Karia nodded with a grin, "I probably would so smart move." She moved and looked at him still, "Oh its cool. The uniform suits you." She laughed softly and moved out slightly and smiled softly, "Yeah Im ready to go. Anywhere you have in mind? Admitting I don't have to much money." She laughed softly.
Carlos just laughed, turning to go, "Thanks for the compliment." He then listened to her next compliment, smirking. "It's a surprise." He sing-songed, his eyes flashing devishly. He honestly had no place certain in mind, but California was a big place. And had some great food choices too.
Karia looked at him still and followed behind him, ensuring the key was in her pocket as she locked the door behind her as she looked at him and moved with him, "I hate surprises. Honestly." She laughed a little and moved behind him
He started to walk backwards, facing her. "Guess you'll have to deal with it." Carlos chuckled. "But i'll remember that." He mused, turning back around as he walked outside into the cool air. The water that Karia had dragged was now evaporated, and Carlos was glad. No more bad memories, hopefully.
Karia looked at him and gave a little laugh, "I keep secrets but hate them. Surprises are secrets." She said simply and kept walking, watching the place the water was and sighed softly, walking to keep up by his side, half wanting to grab him to ensure her safety.
Seeing her worry, Carlos wrapped his arm comfortingly around her shoulders. "Don't worry, it won't be a secret for long." He smiled reassuringly, opening the passenger door on his silver car. "After you."
Karia flinched a little but kept walking, leaning herself against him, honestly happy to have the support. "Fine. I guess that's okay then." Karia bowed her head a little and climbed into the car, watching him, "You're a real gentleman you know."
He just flashed a smile, shutting the door and going around to the other side. He got in to the drivers side, grinning at her again, "In the flesh, love." He started up the car, starting their drive.
Karia gave him a smile back before shuffling her belt on and looked at him, "Not often you see a gentleman around here. Unless this place is different." She smiled still and looked at the road ahead of them.
"California is filled with non-gentlemans, I just have to be one to own a business. Plus, I was raised this way." He smiled, his eyes flickering everyone on the street. He was an alert driver, especially trying to find somewhere to go.
"Well Im glad im not here long. I cant stand arrogant and rude people," She said simply and kept watching the road. Karia is known for motion sickness so she had to watch. Karia looked around and then at him for a moment, "Any ideas yet?" Clearly noticing his lack of plan.
"Not everyone is. Everyone that visits the resort is usually nice, except for some drunk bozos." He admitted, before looking at Karia as she spoke again. He scoffed, "I totally know where we are going." He smirked, figuring out where they should go just then. His eyes flickered as he leaned his elbow against the door.
"Well I'd much prefer to not meet those Drunk ones," She said simply and looked at the window still, glancing back at him a little, "Well, you didn't sound or look like you had any clue where we were going." She laughed a little.
Ignoring her first comment, Carlos just laughed. "To be honest, I had no idea until now." He spotted the place, "Now, close your eyes!" He giggled, reaching over and covering her eyes with his hand. He was really excited. He had loved this place since he was a child, even when he was on his own.
Karia looked at him a little moment and laughed a little with him, "I knew it." She closed her eyes and flinched as he covered her eyes. "Guessing we're here?" She smiled a little, shivering at his touch a little, nerved by his contact.
Carlos smiled, glad she was having fun. "No, we're just driving along a road. Yes, we're here!" He giggled, excited. He kept his hand over her eyes, pulling in to where they where going. It was a nice little restaurant, that served a good amount of food for a big amount of money. But Karia was worth it.
Karia grumbled a little, keeping her eyes shut, "Arent you just so funny." She said simply and tried to peek past his paw but gave up, keeping her eyes closed as they came to a stop. She huffed softly and held her hands to get chest, crossed.
"Mkay, mkay, mkay. Ready?" He was excited, stopping his car and shutting it off. Carlos was basically shaking in his seat, leaning towards Karia with a large grin. That she couldn't see.
Karia nodded quickly, "Yes im ready. now move your stinky dirty paw from my face." She joked as she wiggled in her seat a little, just as excited as he was. Readying herself for whatever was in front of them.
Pulling his hand back, he whispered, "Welcome to Dixie's, the best restaurant in California. Also in places like Europe, Russia and Italy." He chuckled, taking in the urban atmosphere. Dixie's was a very popular restaurant in many different countries, knowing to be the best restaurant around. And slightly expensive.
karia flinched at the closeness of his face and wiggled over a little, "Oh its beautiful. I remember hearing about it when in Europe." She said simply and looked at it, "but im sorry, I really cant afford something like this." She said softly, slightly saddened tone.
"Oh, but I can, baby." He wiggled his eyebrows. "You have one night in Cali, better spend it as if it's the last time of your life. No way to have a good time without Dixie's." Carlos smiled, leaning back. "Whaddya say?"
Karia semi rolled her eyes and grumbled, "I cannot accept that. Not when I was the one playing this 'get out of jail free' card." She said simply and leaned into the car a little, "Fine. if you insist. Can't argue against the non Mexican Mexican hipster."
Carlos rolled his eyes, amused at her acting. "Let's go. I'm treating this date as if you're actually interested in me." He chuckled, getting out of his car. He ran around to the other side, opening her door for her with a smile.
Karia looked at him and sighed softly, "Sadly I may be." She spoke out loud by accident and quickly hushed herself, hoping he was still to far to hear her. She spun her body out of the car and gave a little head bow again, "Im glad I met the one gentleman around."
"Everyone is glad to meet this gentleman." Carlos winked. He was oblivious to the fact that she had any interest in him, and was just having fun. He shut her door, before locking his car swiftly.
Karia looked at him again and smiled at him, Clear to the fact her words had gone unnoticed. She smiled at him still, and looked at the car as it locked and looked back at him, "Shall we then?" She said, moving her arm to him, "Since its a date?"
A small bit of blush trailed to his cheeks, and he wrapped his arm around hers. He kissed her cheek playfully, his cheeks turning slightly more scarlet. He started to walk.
Karia flushed but shook it away and looked ahead, "Your face has gone rather red there Carlos." She grinned in a teasing manner, her blush barely visible on her red fur. She held his arm close and smiled as they walked.
"It's what ya do to me, love." He chuckled, the words coming out before he could stop them. Darn his ridiculous sense of not being able to shut his mouth. Acting like he didn't say anything that was weird, he opened the door to the restaurant for her, grinning cheekily.
Karia chuckled softly and moved into the building and smiled back at him, "Guess im just good at making gentleman fall for me." She couldn't help but laugh as she looked around the room. The restaurant was stunning as she looked over everything, shiny things catching her attention, 'No Karia, you must be good today,' she told herself.
Carlos unlinked his arm, ordering a table. He smiled at her as they started to move towards a table, which was actually a booth. He started to sit down, motioning for her to do the same with a smile.
Karia remained quiet as she followed Carlos towards their table and looked at the little area, sitting down across from him and smiled a little, "I see why you like it here. Its pretty." She said simply.
He scratched the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. "Yeah. Had my first date here, when I was an uncool mess. I was sweating most of the time and was stuttering. So glad I changed since then." Carlos laughed. "What would you do if I was like that now?"
"I would make serious fun of you," She said honestly, smiling a little more and watching him, "Though it would of been a joke. Cause my first date was kinda the same. Then I casually left them while they went to pay." She snickered and leant her elbows on the table.
"Oo, bad girl." He chuckled, wiggling his eyebrows playfully. Carlos ran his fingers through his hair again, shuffling in his seat as he waited for the waiter. He was nervous, but he wouldn't show Karia.
Karia chuckled slightly and leant in a little bit and smiled softly, "Don't worry. I don't plan on leaving you here." She smiled and sat up as the waiter appeared, "Can I take your orders yet?" The waiter spoke softly. Karia looked down and realised they hadn't even touched the menu and laughed.
Carlos ran his fingers through his hair, before laughing. "Actually, we haven't even glanced at the menus." He grinned, quite amused by the situation. He looked at Karia, glad to figure out that she was amused also.
Karia looked at him and grabbed the menu, "Anything you'd suggest?" He looked at Carlos as the waiter walked away with his own glimpse of humour to the situation. Karia read over it briefly, her breath taken by the price of it all.
"Fried pickles. Their burgers are pretty good, along with their shrimp poppers." Carlos offered, leafing through it himself. Yeah, it was pricey, but he wanted to show her good times. He wanted her to remember California as much as she remembered Egypt.
Karia looked at the menu again, unsure of all the food really and then glanced at him, "uhh..." She mumbled slightly and gave a confused look, "Could you just order for me? I have no idea what to get." She said softly.
Carlos smiled, "I don't know. Just pick a random thing, make sure you don't have a allergic reaction or hate anything in it." He mused, a large grin on his face. He hoped she wasn't saying that because he would pay too much.
karia looked over the prices and then at the actual food, it all sounded so good and the pictures on the menu actually didn't help her pick, "Umm.. Probably just a burger I guess." She said, always returning to the thing she knew well.
"What type of burger?" He asked, raising an eyebrow with a smile. Apparently she wasn't good with choices. Something to remember.
karia looked over it again, "Anything that contains bacon." She grinned to herself, absolutely loving bacon. "Oh here." She shuffled in and showed him as she pointed to the bacon cheese like burger. She actually had no clue what it was but anyway.
"You mean, a bacon cheeseburger?" He mused, a small smirk on his face, a eyebrow raised amusingly. "Wow, Egypt must not be that modern." He teased.
Karia grumbled at him, "No I just don't eat out often. Geez Im sorry im not fancy enough for you," She grumbled and pulled the menu away, "Yes I'll have that." She huffed and looked down from him.
"Hey, I was just teasin'." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, using one finger to press her cheek and may her gaze at him. He held one eyebrow up, a small smile on his slightly worried face. Carlos was afraid he had messed up somehow, making her upset or disgruntled.
Karia smiled and leaned into his finger slightly and puffed out her cheeks, staring at him slightly, "I know, so was I. Im not that easily worked up." She laughed a little and looked away from him, just for the waiter to return, "Are we ready to order now?" He smiled slightly, Karia throwing a glance at Carlos, as if to ask him to order.
Carlos kept his arm wrapped around her shoulders, chuckling slightly. "I hope. What would you like to drink?" He asked, his drink already in mind. He was glad he hadn't upset her. He had too many times that night.
karia looked at the drinks and smile, "Just a ... Pink Lemonade please." She smiled slightly at the waiter and then looked at Carlos a little more, placing her menu down.
Carlos chuckled, nodding. "Okay." He gazed at her, keeping her gaze as he grinned. "Liking what you see, love?" He teased, more of a purr.
karia grumbled to herself and turned her face away, "Some'thing' like you?" She hissed the word thing in a mocking way, giving off a playful grin. The waiter glanced at them and coughed softly, "And You sir?"
"Amusing." Carlos chuckled, before turning to the waiter. "Just a plain water with lemon, please." He said politely, grinning widely. He was amused beyond repair.
The waiter nodded, "And food now or later?" He said simply. Karia looked at him and leaned into his ear, "Can we order now, Im hungry." She spoke softly, ensuring her breath brushed against his neck. He wanted to tease, he hadn't seen her mean side yet.
Carlos felt as goosebumps trailed up his arm, letting out an amused noise as he looked at the waiter, "Now, please." He smiled, though he was losing his cool inside. Jesus, Karlia.
.
